Production Description

Gina, Found Again - Part 2, is the second in a series of "Movie Novellas" brought to you by veteran filmmaker Lawrence Bridges. This new kind of reading experience, serialized in short chapters, was created specifically for the Kindle. The Gina, Found Again series captures in words the type of nuanced observations we see in our favorite films: touching and emotionally complex moments between characters, witty and memorable dialogue, sex, violent gripping situations, humor, diversion, cleverness, musical departures, suspense, mystery, general excitement and cliff hangers at the end of each chapter enticing you to read more. Bridges’ simple and easy to read style puts your mind in place of an observant lens... all you need to bring is your imagination.

Gina, Found Again - Part 2 Synopsis

Bel Air High School senior and aspiring model GINA VALENZUELA lives a life of privilege thanks to her internet-billionaire father, whose series of failed marriages resulted in a family-tree of adopted step-siblings from around the globe. Herself, brought to California from a Guatemalan orphanage, Gina only feels particularly close with her stepbrother BARRY, a law school graduate ten years her senior who lives in the small office of the literary publication he manages in Brentwood. California. For nearly her whole life Barry has sent her poems that were submitted to his publication, helping her both learn English and eventually discover her Synesthesia, manifesting in letters of the alphabet that are vividly burned onto her thoughts and memories. Barry has included a second envelope with the latest poem, one that Gina has anticipated and feared for some time. Struggling with the decision to read the new note, Gina recalls her family's bizarre and complex history and tries to reconcile her own story and the life she was born into just months from starting college.

About The Author

Lawrence Bridges is best known for his creative work in the film and literary world. Having directed hundreds of TV commercials and and Music Videos, founding his own editing and design company Red Car, Bridges has been able to bring his ideas to fruition across numerous forms of media, from poetry to internet TV game shows. He is considered the primary architect of the so-called “anti-commercial.” His feature film "12" has amassed a cult following, beginning with the much-hyped guerilla drive-in screenings in downtown Los Angeles. More recently, he directed a series of six documentaries on prominent American authors for the NEA's Big Read Program which included Ray Bradbury, Amy Tan, and Tobias Wolff.

Lawrence's book of poems, Horses on Drums (Red Hen Press), was recently praised by "The Literary Review" as being part of a new group of "Dissociative Poets" who create coherent structure through startling juxtapositions and other unconventional means. In addition, he has been a guest lecturer in the department of English at Stanford University where he holds an MA degree. In October of this year, Red Hen Press will publish his next book of poems entitled Flip Days.

Bridges currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife Elizabeth.
